Jerome Thomas is a singer-songwriter from Dalston, East London. Raised by his mother and grandmother, this half Jamaican, half Grenadian divo was surrounded by music from an early age. His mother enrolled him in arts camps where he grew an affinity towards songwriting and his family’s broad taste in music is noted as the inspiration behind his eclectic soul/jazz fusion sound. He highlights this in the moniker “FOE” which stands for “Fusion of Everything/Freedom of Expression”.
Pegging D’Angelo and Marvin Gaye as two of his biggest influences, Jerome didn’t focus on music professionally until he started a band during university at 18. However, “Jerome Thomas and The Soul Notes” disbanded as there was much confusion over them being a group act. Jerome identifies as a solo act but sought to rebuild his integral band with his loyal keys player and others who now call themselves the “FOEchestra” respectively.
In November 2016, Thomas dropped his first official EP entitled Conversations which drew attention before his three latest banded singles “1989”, “Didn’t Know” and “Stranger” (2018). In March Jerome performed “1989” on the popular YouTube show COLORS expanding his global fanbase.
