Jennifer Love Hewitt is an American Actress and Singer who rose to fame in the mid 90s being one of Hollywood’s most beautiful teen idols ever. She was born in Waco, Texas in 1978 on February 21st as she and her family all moved to Los Angeles, in order for her to pursue her career in singing and acting. She had appeared in over twenty television commercials at the age of 10 as her made her way onto Disney Channel as a child actress, being casted on the Kids Incorporated and later appeared as a cameo the short film “Dance, Working out With Barbie” and made her first film debut in the 1992 comedy film Munchie.
She got her leading role as Sarah Reeves in the drama sitcom series Party of Five having positive reviews for her outstanding performance making her a star and became even more big alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Philippe and Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the 1997 teen horror/slasher film of I Know What You Did Last Summer being nominated in the 19th Youth Film Awards receiving a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film as a leading young actress.
On March 21st, 1992 Jennifer came out with debut record Love Songs being released in Japan at 12 years old. The album was a huge success and later signed on to Atlantic Records releasing her sophomore record Let’s Go Bang in 1995 and her third self-titled release Jennifer Love Hewitt the following year in 1996. Let’s Go Bang was released on September 12th, 1995. The record was received with enthusiasm by several program directors at pop radio, however, with the departure of Doug Morris from Atlantic in 1995 the plans for promotion were canceled which led to the album’s commercial failure, failing to chart on the US Billboard 200. Her third self-titled, Jennifer Love Hewitt, was released on September 3rd, 1996 being her last recording under Atlantic Records, where she stepped away from the music industry for three years and released her last recording song How Do I Deal featured in the 1998 teen horror/slasher film I Still Know What You Did Last Summer under Warner Bros. Records.
Few years away from the music scene as she was focusing on her acting career, later in 2002 she was signed to Jive Records and released her fourth and last studio record BareNaked released on October 8th, 2002. The album was indeed her most successful work as it reached the Billboard Charts peaking at 37 reaching the top 40. It received positive reviews and with help from singer-songwriter Meredith Brooks the lead single of the same titled BareNaked written and produced alongside the musician-singer number 24 on Billboards and her last single Can I Go Now peaked at number 12 in Australia and number 8 in the Netherlands, that failed to chart in the United States.
Throughout her career Jennifer has still managed to continue both with acting and singing and came out with her first greatest hits compilation Cool with You: The Platinum Collection released in 2006 and was no longer active in the music industry as she began more focused on her acting career, being landed on her hit TV series Ghost Whisperer as the lead role and later went onto beginning directing and producing, where she found herself in The Client’s List and the recent television series of 911
