Jemma Victoria Cooke, also known simply as Jem Cooke, is a British singer-songwriter who started out working around acoustic soul material, a genre that encompassed her first two albums I Am Jem Cooke and Limited Edition. She signed to Naughty Boy’s label in 2013 where she released a mixtape called Cookie Jam and, not long after, released her single “Home” in 2014, scheduled to be part of what would be her third album, which was scrapped.
In 2015, she opted out of her record label and began writing songs for other artists, whilst also growing on her then already existing backlog of appearances as a vocalist on house music releases.
Her most recent solo effort “Whole Lot of Love” was released in 2018. She also began to work frequently with record producers Cristoph and CamelPhat, which has since boosted her further in the more commercial realm of house music, earning her further collaborative appearances with the likes of Gorgon City, Jax Jones and Hayden James.
