About Jeff Loomis

Jeff Loomis is an American guitarist for Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy (joined 2014) as well as for instrumental technical death metal supergroup Conquering Dystopia (which he is also co-founder of).

In 2005, Loomis started work on his first solo album, Zero Order Phase, which was eventually released in 2008. Another album followed in 2012 as well as an EP in 2013.

Loomis is best known however, as the lead guitarist for progressive metal band Nevermore which he joined in 1992. He stayed with the band for 19 years before leaving in 2011 due to musical and personal differences between him and the rest of the band.
