Jeff Allen is a producer, composer and musician based in Boston, Massachusetts. He is most well-known for his work with the video game company Harmonix. He has worked with the company as a sound designer since 2003, contributing to many critically acclaimed game titles such as Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution and Dance Central.
Allen is also an electronic musician, having composed music under both his own name and the alias ASMS. He recorded several songs for the 2016 reboot of Harmonix’s Amplitude – one of which, “Recession”, was first featured on the Rock Band 4 soundtrack months before its appearance in Amplitude.
Outside of his electronic music, Allen is currently the drummer for Boston metal band Arctic Horror, and was formerly the drummer for Boston punk band Spectre Hawk. Both bands have also appeared in Rock Band 4: Arctic Horror’s “Black Seas” was released as a free downloadable song in 2017, and several Spectre Hawk songs were previously featured throughout the game’s menu screens.
Jeff Allen's first song Recession released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
