About JAY-Z & Linkin Park

Jay Z & Linkin Park are some of the most well known music acts of all time. This page displays the collaborations they’ve made over the years. The artists only ever saw one release, which was their 2004 EP “Collision Course.” The tape included remixes of some of Linkin Park’s most well known songs at the time, as well as Jay Z’s.

The artists met when Jay Z was asked who he’d like to collaborate with, to which he replied “Linkin Park.” The rest is history. Linkin Park’s co-vocalist, pianist and bandmate Mike Shinoda (also known as Fort Minor) went on to release one album (under the name Fort Minor) titled The Rising Tied. The tape included songs Shinoda had produced himself and features from his close friends at the time. The introduction to the tape included spoken words by Jay Z, explaining his thoughts on the album and complimenting it. The spoken word track (besides the instrumental backing it) was filmed when Shinoda showed fellow bandmate and Jay Z the album to get their opinions, to which they loved it.
