Jay Boogie (born Joel Rayos) is a Brooklyn based Dominican American rapper & MC. Jay is know for his feminine and flamboyant personality. He is a modern pioneer in a heteronormative society. He pushes himself to live up to his imaginary self rather than become an icon.
His feauture album “Allure” was released in 2014 and his latest mixtape “My H.O.E.” (My Health Over Everything) was released in 2015.

When asked about his image during an interview for DAZED Boogie said:
“I’m celebrating the hybrid lifestyle I was raised in, a heteronormative gangbanging environment, looking the way I wanna look, talking the way I wanna talk, demanding the respect I deserve, that’s what it all means to me, I can do this too,”
