Javier E. Reyes (pronounced like ha-vee-air) is a solo artist and was the 6th member to join Chicago band Post Animal when Joe Keery had to leave for acting commitments and the band needed someone to fill his place. Despite originally joining to fill Joe’s spot, Javier became fast friends with the band and stayed even after Joe returned, becoming a permanent member and rounding out the band well. When Joe went on tour for his solo music (under the name Djo) in 2025, Post Animal joined for most performances as Djo’s opener, and Javier played guitar in Djo’s on-stage band.

Before joining Post Animal, Javier made plenty of music both solo and with other bands, with SlowPulp band’s instagram still linked in his instagram (@stinkyjavi) as of August 2025.
