Jason Eli Becker (born July 22, 1969) is an American musician, songwriter and composer. He was one-half of the Cacophony duo, alongside with Marty Friedman. In 1989, Friedman left for Megadeth, and Becker pursued his solo career. He soon started working in collaboration with David Lee Roth, but was diagnosed with ALS and given three to five years to live. He survived, but was eventually entirely paralyzed. Now he communicates with his eyes via a system developed by his father. Despite the disease, Jason continues composing music till nowadays.
