Gry Jannicke Jarlum is a Swedish-Norwegian singer, guitarist and author, musically best-known for her hit single “Svake mennesker”, which is considered a classic of Norwegian new wave and remained at number 1 on the VG hit charts for 16 weeks.
After a hiatus from music, she tried a comeback in the 2000s under the stage name of J-Diva, going for a completely different dance-pop direction, instead of her earlier rock material.
She is also known for her claims of having been abducted by aliens, which she has written books and made documentaries about. This also is the topic of some of her J-Diva songs.
