Jang Woo-hyuck (Hangul: 장우혁) is a South Korean singer and rapper born on May 8, 1978. Jang rose to fame as a member of the South Korean boy group H.O.T, which debuted in 1996 under SM Entertainment. H.O.T is considered to be the first K-pop idol group and they are used as the blueprint for many groups that followed them.

Selling over 6.4 million records with the group during their 5-year career. The group disbanded in 2001 and Jang, along with 2 fellow members Tony An and Lee Jae-won, left SM Entertainment. The trio signed to Yejeon Media and formed a three-member group called jtL, which experienced moderate success before they disbanded in 2003.

Following the disbandment of JtL, Jang became the CEO of Newest Entertainment (a dancing academy). After undergoing 10 months of dance training, Jang released his solo debut “No More Drama” in 2005.
