Destined to be known as the shower stabbing victim in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, Janet Leigh (1927-2004) was born Jeanette Helen Morrison started out acting on radio programs before moving into film. Besides Psycho, she also gave notable performances in My Sister Eileen, Touch of Evil, The Manchurian Candidate, and Bye Bye Birdie. She was the mother of two daughters, including the actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
