Jan Metternich started to play songs by Metallica and AC/DC on the guitar when he was 8 years old. Soon he recorded his first cover songs with a small mobile recorder before even finishing primary school. With early musical influences from Ed Sheeran and later many more artists, he spent every afternoon teaching himself how to record, produce, mix and master music in Garage Band and later Logic Pro. Jan finally released his first single “Whatever They Say” in 2019 after years of never being taken seriously for his music at school. Now, just a year after graduating from High School, the 19 year old artist elevated him from YouTube obscurity to more than 700,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. “Dead End” which is completely produced, mixed and mastered by him, is Jan Metternich’s biggest single to date with more than 5.3 million streams on Spotify and rising. After releasing mostly solo singles, Jan has already teased songs with artists like Yung Bans and many more, to be released really soon. His latest single “One More Time” is together with multi platinum artist StaySolidRocky which is popular for his viral single “Party Girl”.
