James Worthy is an award-winning songwriter and recording artist originally from Queens, New York. He is a 3x Grammy nominated producer, having worked alongside the likes of Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Justin Bieber, Future, Fetty Wap, T-Pain, Jaden Smith, and many more.

According to a 2017 Producer Spotlight article, he had a formative experience at age ten when he met Michael Jackson backstage at Webster Hall; Jackson told Worthy that he would be influential in the music industry one day.

After building a name for himself as an audio engineer, he released his breakout EP Blu Leisure in January 2019. Worthy is set to release a follow-up project, titled Kaleidoscopes, in January 2020.
