About James Dean Bradfield

James Dean Bradfield is a singer-songwriter, musician, and producer who was born in South Wales in 1969. At age 17, he co-founded the rock band Manic Street Preachers with his cousin Sean Moore, and schoolmates Nicholas Jones and Miles Woodward. The band have since released numerous albums and dozens of singles, and earned a reputation as artists with a message and a conscience.

Bradfield released his first solo album, The Great Western, in 2006. His second, Even in Exile, followed in 2020. In the intervening years, he recorded six more albums with Manic Street Preachers, and scored Ben Parker’s 2016 film The Chamber.
