jaiél aure, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. Raised between Winter Park, Florida and the Bronx, New York, he began creating music in 2012 and released his first single in 2017.

He is of Dominican and Venezuelan descent. His mother is from New York, while his father is from the Dominican Republic. Aure identifies as Catholic and has spoken openly about his faith. His personality type is INTP-T. Outside of music, he has expressed interest in fashion, photography, travel, and vlogging.

Aure was introduced to music at an early age through his mother, but initially aspired to become a news anchor. His interest in music deepened in 2012, after experimenting with the iOS app GarageBand during a visit to an AT&T store. Shortly after, he downloaded the app on his mother’s iPod, which marked the beginning of his journey as a self-taught producer.

By 2014, he began using GarageBand on his iPad to create MIDI-based tracks. In 2017, after acquiring his first iPhone, he started producing full songs and experimenting with songwriting. He later transitioned to Logic Pro in 2019, using a MacBook gifted to him on Christmas in 2019. During lockdown, Aure focused on expanding his skills, producing more frequently and learning how to mix, master, and eventually engineer in Dolby Atmos. His vocal techniques, including harmonies, runs, and note differentiation, were developed independently by studying and mimicking his favorite singers.

Aure released his debut single, “Tell Me the Directions,” in November 2017. The disco-inspired track was originally written and recorded in 2014, but was re-recorded and self-released at age 11. Due to a limited online presence, the release gained little traction.

In March 2024, he released “wtw,” his first single in partnership with Virgin Music-backed Greater Than Distribution. Although no longer affiliated with the label, the track marked a shift in visibility for Aure. Later that summer, the release of “Angel” continued to expand his audience and reach.

Aure is set to release his next album, titled duae, in July 2025. The title is a stylized form of the Latin word duae, meaning “two.” The project has been described as his most personal and cohesive to date, exploring themes of love and emotional conflict.
