Pierre Delince, better known by his stage name Jackboy, is a Haitian-American rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida. He was born August 27, 1997, in Haiti, and moved to the United States with his family in 2003.
Jackboy first made an impression in the rap scene in 2016 after the release of his debut mixtape, Stick Up Kid, collaborating with childhood friend, Kodak Black, and gaining an influential co-sign from PnB Rock on “Everyday Shit.”
In August 2017, Jackboy’s visibility in the industry began to rise after collaborating with Kodak Black once again for a remix of Tee Grizzley’s “From The D to the A.”.
Following the release of his April 2020 single “Pressure”, Jackboy had gained major attention after going viral for his harmonic efforts alongside the gang-like activity that he raps about.
2021 was a drama-filled year. Jackboy engaged in a feud with his lifelong friend Kodak Black, with the two exchanging diss tracks in the process. Despite the drama, Jackboy also obtained his first RIAA Gold plaque for his 2020 single “Pressure.”
On October 30, 2021, Kodak released “Super Gremlin,” a track intended to call out Jackboy for having “switched up.” Jack responded with “Don’t Force My Hand,” interpolating Kodak’s song entirely and clearing up rumours.
