About Jack Newsome

Singer/songwriter Jack Newsome is a pop thoroughbred. The New Jersey native was raised in music, starting acting and playing classical piano at age 6.

At 10 he was writing his first lyrics over Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge songs. During junior year of high school, Jack was signed to a Manhattan-based boyband project called “NY5”. He spent the second semester of his senior year in Berlin, Germany training in a “boyband bootcamp” for a second project “New District”. After leaving the boyband circuit, Newsome studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, studying the production stylings of Timbaland, Max Martin, Prince, and Pharrell.

He quickly wound up relocating to Los Angeles for more opportunities. He secured a number of features including EDM artist Said the Sky’s “Affection”, as well as penning songs for other artists such as PLATINUM, Matt Sato, Sean Kingston, and more. After two years in LA, Newsome wound up as a finalist on NBC’s “Songland” pitching an original to Kelsea Ballerini.
