Jack Lawrence (born Jacob Louis Schwartz, April 7, 1912 – March 16, 2009) was an American songwriter (not to be confused with the bassist Jack Lawrence).

He was responsible for many hits during the 1940ies, i. e. for The Ink Spots, Bobby Darin, Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra.

His song writing contributions for Disney animated movies are also well known, such as “Once upon a Dream” for “Sleeping Beauty” and Peter Pan’s “Never Smile at a Crocodile”.
