Jack Kilcoyne, also known as “Pig Benis” (which is a very obvious spoonerism), used to be the bassist for alternative metal band Mushroomhead from 1996 to 2012. He was known for his practically flawless and fast fingerstyle play.
He replaced his brother, Joe Kilcoyne who had only played on the band’s first album, while Jack’s first work with Mushroomhead was on Superbuick. Some sources, notably Discogs, claim his first works go as far back as 1988.
The last album he played on was Beautiful Stories For Ugly Children, released on 2010.
It’s unsure if he’s ever performed on any other album since he was fired from the band (for yet unknown reasons), but it’s also very likely he’s stepped away from music following this event.
Succeeding to him is Ryan Farrell, also known as “Dr. F”, who first played for the band on their 2014 album The Righteous & the Butterfly.
