About Jack Antonoff

Jack Michael Antonoff (born March 31, 1984) is an American producer, singer-songwriter and musician. His first big break was being a member of fun., the band that produced two top tens and three top twenties before breaking up in 2015. Since then, Antonoff has cowritten and produced for major projects like Taylor Swift’s 1989, Lana Del Rey’s Norman Fucking Rockwell!, and Troye Sivan’s Blue Neighbourhood. In 2017, Antonoff’s fingerprints were all over some of the most critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful pop music: he produced multiple songs on Taylor Swift’s reputation, St. Vincent’s MASSEDUCTION, and Lorde’s Melodrama.

Since fun.’s hiatus was announced, Antonoff has worked on an indie pop solo project, Bleachers. His debut single “I Wanna Get Better” was a success, reaching the top ten of the rock charts and #1 on the alternative charts in the US. Bleachers has released three albums: Strange Desire in 2014, Gone Now in 2017, and Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night in 2021. All three albums were praised by critics.

Prior to his work with fun. and Bleachers, Antonoff was the lead singer-songwriter of the band Steel Train. He also started his own annual music festival in 2015 called Shadow of The City, which takes place each year in New Jersey.
