$J Rap consists of Stetson Jenkins($J, Versatile, StetSin) and Jonah Lieberman(DieFaust).

Stetson and Jonah met in a keyboarding class, the teacher that both of them disliked. They made a joke rap song about her, and it got around the school. People enjoyed the rap and encouraged them to make more, garnering a small, dedicated fanbase of a few dozen people.

They continued to experiment with random raps on their debut EP “The Clear Room” to see what worked and what didn’t work.
VERSATILE was their biggest hit, garnering over 250 likes on YouTube.

On March 17, 2016, DieFaust announced on his YouTube channel in a teaser clip that their new full-length album would be entitled “The Death and Life of Simon”. The album will be released on Halloween, 2016.
