From Atlanta, GA, J Cameron’s love for R&B music began at an early age. Growing up, his parents would play countless R&B classics during road trips to his native city of St. Louis, MO. He would mimic the artists he heard being played and would soon become interested in what it took to become an artist. Throughout his high school years, he would develop his voice and songwriting ability, all while learning the entirety of the music business. At age 18, he joined a choir group under the leadership of Christian hip-hop artist Canton Jones, performing and touring the city of Atlanta.

J Cameron released his first debut single titled “Act Up” in late 2019.
