Psychedelic future pop artist Izzy Perri spent his childhood immersed in cassettes by the likes of Hendrix and Zeppelin, fueling early artistic aspirations far beyond his rural New Jersey hometown of East Brunswick. He credits watching theatre performances by his older sisters, whose first names comprise his artist moniker, for igniting his fervor for the stage from a young age.
Honing a multi-instrument skill set in bands throughout his teenage years, Izzy’s soulful psychedelic melodies emerged as he entered his 20’s and discovered core influences such as LCD Soundsystem, Stevie Wonder and Tame Impala. Inspired by those immersive one man production projects, he released his first string of singles in late 2018, defined by heavy grooves, and lush, funky vintage synth beds.
Izzy has since become an in demand producer and songwriter for multiple artists – developing his genre bending sound alongside his collaborators – and in turn landing a number of Spotify editorial playlists with songs such as “Underwater” (released on the eclectic French label Kitsune Records) and “Nightvision”.
