itsnk was born in Hà Nội, Vietnam as Lê Nam Khánh (thus his artist name NK). He lived in his hometown of Hà Nội until he decided to go to college in the US, attending college at the University of Illinois, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2021.

Lê decided to stay in Chicago, where he is currently based. Aside from producing music for himself, he has also produced for artists such as Wren Evans and Teeayz. He also enjoys photography and coding in his free time.
