Iron Cross was a D.C.-based punk/Oi! band. Their recorded debut was three tracks on the Flex Your Head compilation LP, which was produced by (and featured uncredited bass work from) future Rollins Band guitarist Chris Haskett. The rest of the band was singer Sab Grey, guitarist Mark Haggerty, and drummer Danté Ferrando. The bass work was, however, credited to former State Of Alert bassist Wendel Blow, who did perform on the band’s first EP, *Skinhead Glory".
Blow left the band and was replaced by Paul Cleary of Black Market Baby for the followup EP, Hated And Proud.
A posthumous CD, Live For Now, compiles a remixed version of the Flex Your Head session as well as both of the band’s EPs and other previously unreleased material.
Iron Cross's first song Wargames released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
