Most known for her audiovisual endeavours as part of the duo iamamiwhoami, ionnalee is the solo moniker of Swedish singer, songwriter, producer and filmmaker Jonna Lee.

Following the three studio and two live works produced by the group, Lee chose to reignite the flame of her solo work as “a new beginning and a continuation”. Making the jump from co-producer to producer, her re-arrival came in the form of “SAMARITAN”, a “passionate roar about the unattainable idol-worship of female artists”.

While still joining forces with best friend, long-term producer and iamamiwhoami companion, Barbelle a.k.a Claes Bjorklund, the door had opened to allow other collaborations to take place. This enabled the production of “HARVEST”, with TR/ST, and “DUNES OF SAND”, with Jamie Irrepressible. The former being a fan favourite dance track, the latter offers a heart-wrenching glimpse at health issues faced by Lee between projects.

Despite these obstacles, Lee went on to release the colossal 15-track EVERYONE AFRAID TO BE FORGOTTEN along with its accompanying film and, following this, embarked on a crowd-funded world tour.

Feeling rather overcome by the display of love and support, Lee returned to the studio during her “off periods”. Her experiments and writing resulted in the quickest turn-around between projects ever for Lee. REMEMBER THE FUTURE, filled with optimism and hopefulness, was released in late May 2019 and Lee is currently performing live on its accompanying tour.
