IMAN is a British artist. She began her music career writing for major international acts, working with artists under labels such as Sony BMG, Polydor, Warner Music and Virgin EMI. Establishing herself in the industry as both a talented vocalist, and a prolific songwriter, many of the records she has worked on have made the official charts, and been certified multi-platinum and gold in countries around the World. As an artist in her own right, IMAN’s music has strong pop, dance and R&B influences. In late 2015, her debut single, ‘Golden’ was released and her second single, ‘Naive’, followed last year with a music video she directed and co – edited which earned her even wider recognition among fans and critics alike. Known for her authentic British edge and distinctive, soulful vocals, IMAN has proven her talent as a strong live performer at festivals including Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend and the Isle of Wight Festival where she was invited to tour with Rudimental, performing material she had written for the band. She has also written and recorded with Ed Sheeran, Wilkinson and the producer Mike Dean (Kanye West, Jay Z, 2Pac, Frank Ocean) Off the back of her most recent releases music journalists have described IMAN’s own music as a ‘force of nature that might be unstoppable‘(‘IX Daily’), also claiming ‘the UK has a new vocal powerhouse, with a voice like honey’('The Most Radicalist’). Cultural magazine ‘The 405’, recently declared that ‘IMAN’s certainly setting the bar high for herself, and with her latest offering, it’s clear she can exceed it.’ The MOBO AWARDS described her single ‘Naive’ as a ‘’ dreamy, ambient number with emotive vocals’’ with the legendary Clash Magazine describing her as ‘Supreme pop talent’.
