I Set My Friends on Fire, often abbreviated as ISMFOF, is an experimental post-hardcore band from Miami, Florida. The band was originally a duo formed in 2007 by Matt Mehana and Nabil Moo. ISMFOF’s music typically contains a strange mix of hardcore screaming mixed with heavy autotuned vocals and electronic effects.
The duo was perhaps most known for their collaborations with the YouTube comedy duo Smosh. ISMFOF appeared on two Smosh tracks, “Sex Ed Rocks” and “Four Years Foreplay.”
ISMFOF released their debut album, You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, in 2008 through Epitaph Records. They then released their sophomore album, Astral Rejection, in 2011.
