A young artist from the south east, echoing 80’s inspired vocals, contemporary drum tracks and a deep passion for creating new and interesting sounds.
Growing up, Hxlez listened to bands such as Breaking Benjamin and Metallica. Hxlez’ parents would often play punk rock. The Stranglers, were one of his fathers favourites.
More recently he’s become growingly inspired by soul singers like The Weeknd (even covering Rolling Stone), PartyNextDoor and XXXTentacion.
Hxlez’ is from a sleepy town just outside of Brighton, East Sussex. Local pubs play covers of songs gone by and there is no real scene for emotional music. Lacking the resources that his Brighton counterparts have Hxlez’ started to develop a home studio in his garden shed, gradually improving his style alongside. As of 2019 Hxlez’ has amassed over 40 thousand plays across streaming sites.
