Giovon Edwards, known professionally as HVN, is a rapper from Houston, Texas.
Notably, HVN suffers from sickle cell anemia and suffered two strokes before 15. He continued to pursue rapping despite these health complications, creating a movement called Don’t Die in 2015.
He released his debut project, Welcome to Heaven, in February 2020. Following this, he was named one of Complex’s “Best New Artists of the Month” in October 2020.
In early 2021, HVN became the newest member of Field Trip Records, a record label founded by Zack Bia, a popular influencer.
His breakout moment came on fellow Houston native Don Toliver’s 2021 track “Smoke” alongside upcoming artist SoFaygo.
