Wayne was born in Shulin District, New Taipei City on March 23, 1990 as Wei Jin Huang (黃偉晉) and is a singer, dancer, TV host and actor who debuted in the Taiwanese boy band SpeXial in 2012 as one of the founding members.

Prior to SpeXial, he appeared on the TV program 超級星光大道 (One Million Star) in 2009 and placed eighth. Around the same time that SpeXial debuted, Huang debuted as an actor in the 2012 Taiwanese drama PM10-AM03.

In 2018, Huang announced he was enlisting in the military in order to fulfill his mandatory service. A solo concert was held for Huang in May, and he enlisted and served until he was discharged in August. One month later, he announced his departure from SpeXial after being a part of the group for five years.

In 2020, he joined the boy group 五堅情 (W0LF(S)) – a group founded by 邱鋒澤 (Qiu Feng Ze) and is also a member of the group – alongside 陳零九 (Nine Chen), Wayne Huang (黃偉晉) and Lai (賴晏駒); the group would later add 婁峻碩 (Shuo Lou).
