Hoover was an American post-hardcore/emo band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1992. The band had 4 members in its short lifespan: Joseph McRedmond on guitar and vocals, Fred Erskine on bass and vocals, Alex Dunham on guitar and vocals and Christopher Farrall on drums.

The band played a mix of post-hardcore and emo on their only full-length record The Lurid Traversal of Route 7 released in 1994 and their self titled ep, Hoover in 1998.
