About Honda Carter

Born in Vancouver, Canada, Miles Smith has been performing, producing, and writing Hip Hop and R&B music for the past 10 years. Under the name Honda Carter, Miles has developed his own unique sound: Trap influenced Hip Hop with elements of Ambient, West Coast, and Jazz music.

Honda currently produces music with Compton based Rapper Jay Worthy, who produced the Kendrick Lamar featured documentary “Noisey Bompton.” Jay’s music catalogue includes the well known A$AP Yams supported “Aktive,” album which established his place in the music industry. He is also a part of an emerging collective of young artists called 3M, spanning from Virginia to the West Coast. This was where he first began producing and collaborating with collective co-founder and production partner Fridaynite. Friday has appeared on Rap Caviar, generating close to one million plays for his song “Celly Blowing Up”.

In late 2016, XXL’s Hip Hop station on Dash Radio began to feature Honda’s music, which he now appears regularly on. He has also contributed his music to Beats 1’s Radio station Soulection, started by Artist Joe Kay.
