Hoku Christian Ho was born in 1981, the seventh child of legendary Hawaiian singer Don Ho, known for his 1966 hit “Tiny Bubbles.” Her name means “Star” in Hawaiian. Her biggest hit song, “Another Dumb Blonde,” was released in 2000 and was the opening track on her first album, simply called Hoku.
In 2008, she released an EP called Listen Up, in which her style was completely revamped to a more contemporary, adult sound.
After taking a break from the music industry, she returned in 2018 under her married name Hoku Clements by releasing an EP, titled Called By Name, her first music release in 10 years. The EP included a much different sound for her, having more of a contemporary Christian sound.
Two years later, she released a single titled “Greater”, under her original name Hoku.
