Hafiz Saleh Michika is a singer, songwriter, philanthropist and son of the first executive governor of Adamawa State Abubakar Saleh Michika. He is one of the five students that represented the American University of Nigeria in Ghana and won the 2016 Global Challenge Extremism Africa competition sponsored by the EdVenture, US State Department and Facebook. Furthermore, he was heavily involved as a scriptwriter, songwriter and producer in the “Technology Enhanced Learning for All” programme organised by the USAID in collaboration with American University of Nigeria in 2016 to provide formal education through radio to displaced people in North Eastern Nigeria. Hafiz is a music artist who has worked and helped launched the careers of many artists in Adamawa State through his independent label “BRL Muzik”. He is currently studying International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Nigeria.
