“hischooldropout” is a 22 year-old self produced artist that functions like Pierre Bourne, but is inspired directly by 2015-2016 trap music. formerly known as “shleem pink” hischooldropout was the result of a brand-change in late 2022.
Hischool’s sound is very aesthetically dark but holds a dreamlike quality to it. The production sounds like it was ripped straight out of a Tim Burton movie, but the sound of his voice feels almost dread-like. If you mashed “paranoid by Kanye West” & “nightcrawler by Travis Scott” in a blender and added a Swae Lee-esque vocal inflection over it, you would have a very similar sound to hischooldropout’s.
