Hiroshima (named after the city in Japan) is an Asian-American jazz and jazz fusion band founded in the 70’s. Their style has led the way in terms of the fusion between Asian-American sounds and instruments with other contemporary western styles. The group received their first major success with the album “Another Place”, which was on the Billboard Jazz chart for over a year and went gold.
Hiroshima was also an opening act for Miles Davis in the early 90’s, which led to their music becoming more widespread.
Although formed in the 70’s, Hiroshima is still active, with their latest album released in 2021.
