Hîlala Zêrîn is a women’s cultural organization in North and East Syria, founded in 2016 as Kevana Zêrîn and renamed in 2020. Based in Qamishlo, Hesekê, Shehba, and Kobanê Canton, it promotes women’s liberation by uncovering women’s history and preserving communal cultural traditions. Inspired by the Fertile Crescent’s early matriarchal societies, it fosters artistic expression through music, theater, folklore, and painting workshops while uniting diverse ethnic and religious communities. The group also runs an education program for children (ages 6–15) and a diplomacy committee to build cultural networks beyond the Middle East.
