Hi, I’m Chris is the moniker of Chris Bottone, an independent Pop singer, songwriter, and producer whose goal is keeping his music, “Funky, simple, and honest.” Chris grew up singing Jazz, Emo in underground indie bands and choral music in his hometown of Andover, NJ. He cites his strange blend of Jazz vocals and funky, Hip-Hop inspired Pop production emerging from the various musical ideas he was exposed to at a young age through a Prog-Rock loving father, a Disco loving mother, and a Grandfather with an affinity for the music of Tupac, alongside typical elderly favorites like Frank Sinatra and Dion and The Belmonts. Chris released a little demo in January of 2018 that would turn into his breakout single, “Pineapple Soda.” A bubbly track about loss of love, loss of direction, and overall chaos going on in his new home of New York City while in college. The success of the track lead to Chris releasing some other odds and ends he had been working on in his dorm room for fun as a demo tape under the title, “The Disappointing Tape.”
