Marquis LeQuon Henderson grew up as an only child to his single mother.
The 25 year old artist was born in Houston, Texas and goes by the stage name ‘Hendo’.
Quiet an interesting name, isn’t it? How did he come up with that?

During his High school years he was a part of football team. And for some reason his coach
always called him Hernandez, but once his teammate called him Hendo and the name stuck with
him since then. Later he found out that his late uncle’s name was also Hendo. So now he’s even
more attached to the name and is trying his best to do to right in his uncle’s name.
He started his journey of making Music when he was just in 10th grade. He also released his first
song around that time.

Hendo’s major genres include Hip Hop and Rap. Not only does he rap but he’s also a composer
and lyricist.
And still this is not all, at 25 he’s also the one-third founder of the label ‘Global Mindset
studios’. He releases his music through that label as well.

It all sounds so sweet and easy go lucky but Hendo definitely had his fair share of difficulties.
His mother being a single parent had to work hard to put food on table and fulfil all the needs.
She worked till late most days and that left him a lot of time to do things he had no business in
doing so. He got into random fights. He had a ‘wild boy’ era where he went crashing sports cars
and all. It was all a chaotic mess but he finally got himself together and decided to lead his life in
a rather decent way. And now with his first child coming into this world he feels reinvigorated
with his music.
He describes his music as diverse and proper for any mood the listener might be experiencing.
Magnificent, isn’t it?
Upon asking about his creative process he answered “I like to build songs somewhat like a
custom computer. I see what components it takes to make a particular song and I arrange the
hook and verses before even thinking of lyrics. Once I get a feel for the beat I can determine
what direction to take the song as far as a topic and the kind of energy to come with.”
From the potential artist we can expect Consistent good music in future. He’s also working on
cinematic Music videos which will be out soon.
He has a lot of good music in store for us and still he’s recording more.
For sure we hope to see him on big stages and charts soon.
