Watanabe Haruto (JPN: 渡辺春虎, KAT: ワタナベハルト, KOR: 와타나베 하루토), known mononymously as HARUTO, is a rapper in YG Enterainment’s group TREASURE. Born in 2004, HARUTO lived in Japan’s Fukuoka Prefecture, before going to South Korea to participate in YG Treasure Box in 2018. In the show’s finale, Haruto was the first member announced to debut in YG’s new boy group line up, TREASURE.

HARUTO has gained a lot of attention due to his appearance and skills. His deep voice adds to his rapping style, and contrasts TREASURE’s other rappers, CHOI HYUN SUK and YOSHI who both have a high-tone rapping style. On top of his talents, he quickly garnered attention from fans because of his appearance, being named by some as the “number 1 visual” from Treasure Box.

At 16 years old, he has writing credits on all songs that appeared on TREASURE’s first album, THE FIRST STEP : TREAURE EFFECT. In terms of non-group works, he is featured on member PARK JEONG WOO’s cover of “Stack It Up, adding his own flare to the rap.
