Harlem is a (formerly three, currently two)-piece garage-rock band consisting of lead-singer/guitarist/drummer Michael Coomers, singer/guitarist/drummer Curtis O'Mara, & (former) bassist Jose Boyer. Based in Austin, Texas, the band self-released their debut album in 2008, which was later re-released in 2009 through their signed Matador label. They have released three albums, Free Drugs;-) in 2008, Hippies in 2010, and returned with Oh Boy in 2019.. The members have each been a part of other acts, with Coomers leading the techno-dream-rock group Lace Curtains, O'Mara playing with Grape St., and Boyer playing with Datona and Las Rosas.
