About Hardbody B-Eazy

Jackie “Hardbody B-Eazy” Plant is a producer and engineer from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Introduced to hip-hop early from his father, B-Eazy was already playing a set of drums by the age of five. His career as an artist began mostly focused on rapping: mimicking Ludacris’s style, who was his favorite artist at the time. He created a rap group with his friends called “Dem Boiz”, but soon realized that the group frequently lacked beats to use for their lyrics. B-Eazy took the initiative to learn to produce: he learned to play the drums, piano, and different producing and engineering softwares. B-Eazy quickly fell in love with producing and began to focus his career on that, inspired by producers like Manny Fresh, Drumma Boy, and Shawty Red.

In 2008, B-Eazy began to gain traction in his hometown through his unique and energetic beats that mixed a bouncy Louisiana-style melody with hard trap drums. In 2008, B-Eazy formed the group “Hardbody” which is composed of over twenty local producers and rappers. B-Eazy began to work closely with upcoming rapper Spitta through a mutual friend and the music the two made gained the attention of artists like Maine Muzik and Fredo Bang. B-Eazy began to make a lot of music with the two in 2014 inside his house at the time that he turned into a recording studio. However, many of the artists moved on with their careers or fell victims of the gang activity that surrounded them. One day,B-Eazy received a phone call from Fredo Bang, who questioned if fans would still listen to him when he was released from prison; B-Eazy insisted they would. Upon Fredo’s release, B-Eazy recorded three of Fredo Bang’s breakout hits: Father, Oouuh, and Shootas on the Roof.

Since then, B-Eazy has landed placements with artists such as Lil Baby, Tee Grizzley, Mozzy, Kevin Gates, Moneybagg Yo, NLE Choppa, Lil Boosie Baddazz, and YNW Melly. He has charted in the top 200 billboard over fifteen times. Recently, he signed a major co-publishing deal with Create Music Group and received his first gold plaque for his production on Spin on Em’ by Fredo Bang featuring Moneybagg Yo. His most recent drop was No Security with Fredo Bang and Kevin Gates. B-Eazy is currently located in Miami, FL and is working on new records with Fredo Bang, Moneybagg Yo, and Sada Baby. He also has plans to hopefully produce a project with YNW Melly one day in the future, a close friend of B-Eazy.
