Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels, and poems, Andersen is best remembered for his fairy tales. Born in Odense, Denmark on 2 April, 1805, Andersen is still admired for his work today. Modern day spinoffs of his work include the 2013 hit movie “Frozen” and Panic at the Disco’s single “Emperor’s New Clothes”.
