Also known as the “hillbilly Shakespeare”, Hank Williams Sr. is a legend in both country music and American music. Hank Williams began his career in 1937 when he was hired by a radio station to perform a 15-minute show. This lasted until WWII, until he was relieved of this duty, and signed with MGM Records. Unfortunately, Hank Williams had a short career, when his lifestyle caught up to him on December 31, 1953, when he passed away at the age of 29.
