Han Geng (韓庚;한경) was born on February 9, 1984, in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang, China, is a Chinese actor, Mandopop singer, dancer, and model who began his career as one of the first Chinese artists in K-pop when he debuted in SM Entertainment’s Super Junior in 2005 and was also the leader of their Chinese language sub-unit Super Junior M (M meaning Mandarin), when they debuted in 2008.
Han Geng was part of SM Entertainment until 2009, after filing a lawsuit for contract termination due to unlawful working conditions that led to health complications.
Only one year later, in 2010, Han Geng launched a solo career in his native China and has since had a positive and successful career, starring in movies, bearing the torch for the Olympics in China, advocating for human rights campaigns, and even starting up his own phone company.
