Israeli musicians, producers and businessmen best known for founding Saban Entertainment, as well as composing the songs of the various shows they created/adapted. They also composed music for other studios, most notably DiC.
Haim and Shuki met in Paris, and become close friends. In 1980, they founded Saban Entertainment, dubbing various animes like Noozles and Maya the Bee. They also developed a relationship with DiC Entertainment, working with them on some shows.
In 1993, they adapted a Japanese Tokusatsu show into arguably their greatest success, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. They continued to work on the various incarnations until Saban’s closure in 2002. They also composed and distributed the first two English seasons of Dragon Ball Z and worked with Marvel on various cartoons.
In 1996, Saban Entertainment merged with Fox Children’s Productions, forming Fox Kids Worldwide. They dubbed and distributed the first three seasons of Digimon in 1998 for Fox KIds. In 2001, Fox Kids Worldwide was bought out by Disney, becoming ABC Family Worldwide.
Haim Saban and Shuki Levy are still very active in the entertainment industry, with Haim still working on Power Rangers and Shuki working on a show called Tribe of the Wild.
