Gustavo Alfredo Santaolalla is an Argentine musician, film composer and producer. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score in two consecutive years, for Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Babel (2006).

He has also worked on the video games The Last of Us (2013) and The Last of Us: Part II (2020 – Expected).
Gaining a new audience suggest by increase in overall interest in all his projects.

Most recently, he composed the theme music for the Netflix series Making a Murderer.
