American indie rock band GROUPLOVE was formed in 2010 after singers Christian Zucconi (formerly of ALOKE) and Hannah Hooper met drummer Ryan Rabin (son of Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin), guitarist Andrew Wessen, and bassist Sean Gadd in an artist commune on the island of Crete.
Since then, Rabin and Gadd have left the band and been replaced by Benjamin Homola and Daniel Gleason, respectively.
The bands debut album, 2011’s Never Trust a Happy Song, saw them rise to mainstream success, and was aided by the single “Tongue Tied” which was certified platinum by the RIAA. Since then, the band has released three studio albums: 2013’s Spreading Rumours, 2016’s Big Mess, and 2020’s Healer.
